Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 14, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Analytics Blueprint uses them on analyticsblueprint.com, and how you can control them. We want to be upfront about what's happening in the background when you visit.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit. They're used for all kinds of things, from keeping you logged in to understanding how people move through a site. Cookies can be "first-party" (set by the site you're visiting) or "third-party" (set by another domain). They can also be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them).

Cookies We Use

Here's a breakdown of the cookies you'll find on our site, organized by purpose.

Necessary Cookies

These cookies are needed for the site to function. They can't be turned off.

Cookie Purpose Duration
cc_cookie Stores your cookie consent preferences so we don't ask you every time you visit. 6 months

Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. All data is aggregated and anonymous. These cookies are only set if you consent through our cookie banner.

Cookie Purpose Duration
_ga Used by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish between visitors. Generates a random ID to track how you navigate the site without identifying you personally. 2 years
_ga_* Used by Google Analytics 4 to maintain session state. The asterisk represents our unique measurement ID. 2 years

These analytics cookies are loaded through Google Tag Manager (GTM-NMJPLCMQ), which itself does not set cookies but manages when and how the GA4 cookies above are deployed.

The Consent Banner

When you first visit our site, you'll see a cookie consent banner powered by CookieConsent (by Orestbida). This banner gives you control over which cookies are active. You can:

  • Accept all cookies, which enables both necessary and analytics cookies
  • Accept only necessary cookies, which blocks analytics tracking entirely
  • Customize your preferences by choosing which categories to allow

Your choice is saved in the cc_cookie cookie so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit. Analytics cookies will not fire until you've given consent.

Managing Your Cookies

Beyond our consent banner, you have several options for managing cookies:

Change Your Consent

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer of any page. This will reopen the consent banner where you can update your choices.

Browser Settings

Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Here are links to instructions for the most common browsers:

Keep in mind that blocking all cookies may affect how some websites work. On our site, the necessary cookie (for consent preferences) is needed for the banner to work properly.

Google Analytics Opt-out

Google provides a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data across all websites you visit, not just ours.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. There is currently no universal standard for how sites should respond to this signal. Our cookie consent banner is the primary way to control tracking on our site. If you decline analytics cookies through the banner, no analytics tracking will occur regardless of your browser's Do Not Track setting.

Changes to This Policy

If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If we introduce a new category of cookies beyond what's listed here, we'll update the consent banner as well.
